The Students' Union Government of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Eruwa has mourned Late Timothy Adegoke at his final burial rites today held at Eruwa Town Hall.
It was a sad day in the land of Eruwa as the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly Rt. Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin, family, friends, relatives, associates, colleagues, ICAN members, NANS representatives, religious bodies and people all around gathered to pay their last respect to the late son of the soil who was gruesomely murdered in November 2021.
As a postgraduate student before his demise and an indigene of Eruwa where Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Eruwa is situated, the Union with National Association of Nigerian Students Southwest Zone D attended the funeral program to condole with the family and also to demand justice for Timothy.
The NANS Zone-D Coordinator, Comrade Adegboye Olatunji while giving his tribute said the only thing that will please the entire populace of undergraduate and postgraduate students is when justice is served to the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
"We are very sad at the death of Timothy Oluwadamilare Adegoke and we know that if it happened to Timothy, it can happen to any Nigerian student. If we fail to speak up, they might take us for granted. All we seek is Justice for Timothy regardless of whoever is involved in the murder. We will also ensure we have representatives to attend every court proceedings so they can know how serious we are."
Reacting to the unfortunate incidence, the Students' Union President of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Eruwa, Comrade Musa Aanuoluwapo "As we all know that an injury to one is an injury to all, this may have been happening for long but at this time, we all cry out to make our demands known that the murderers of our dear brother and every other person involved in his untimely death should be served their punishment without delay."
After the lying in state of the deceased, the Students' activists of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Eruwa, Obafemi Awolowo University and the entire NANS team chanted several Aluta anthems to commiserate the death of late Timothy.
The remains of the 37-year-old accountant were buried at the house he built for his parents at New Eruwa area of the town on Saturday.
It would be recalled that late Timothy Adegoke had lodged in Hilton Hotels and Resorts at Ile-Ife upon his arrival from Abuja on November 5 to enable him to arrive early for his examination at the OAU Distance Learning Centre, Moro, Osun State, on November 6 and November 7.
He was, however, found dead in the hotel room where he lodged, which the owner is Dr Rahman Adedoyin.
