Oyo state Government betray the interest of student populace

The Oyo State Governor His Excellency Engr Oluwaseyi Makinde, has failed the interest of all student in the state toward is incapacity in Oyo State, Well to be known the major budget of the state has shown that the government really invested much in education but now the student and academic activities has been jeopardized in the state.

More than 5 state own institutions have been on strike for almost 4weeks ago due to inhumane and unrealistic policy or regulation, which is not favourable to the success of any academic environment.

The present Government has proved to us that they careless about the future of the young ones, the standard of education is getting deteriorated.

If past administration brought in the policy of individual school urgumenting their salary and it lead to chaos because of the unrealistic policy why again the resurrection of war.

As at now all Oyo State owned institution do not have standard health status, no standard library, no conducive learning environment and materials likewise depreciating number of lecture rooms.. 

The Oyo state Governor has made himself a scary lion to every Students Leaders to the extent that he chose majority of his appointees to be a tiger which you can\"t have any access to as well.

All the state owned institutions in Oyo state will be coming out in mass to show our displeasure regarding the non-chanllant attitude or shall we call it dereliction of duty or incompetency of the Governor toward the cry of we the leaders of tomorrow.

Before GSM won the election he remember sponsoring student, likewise busary now he has emerged nothing good from his Nazareth anymore.

The oyo state student populace cry out to His Excellency that we are suffering and smiling..

All class room are becoming hell.

Consider the less privilege student, we can\"t vote you under the sun and still make life unbearable for us during the course of learning. 

The oyo state institutions are on strike due to the lack of adequate funding from the state government. 

Question begging for answer is that why do we have increase in education budget and nothing of development could be showcased  except LAUTECH your beloved school.

We hereby give a three working days ultimatum to father of seven that cares for only child while ignoring the rest six to meet with Staff Union of various institutions unless we are having mass protest anytime soon. As you Keep on jeopardizing our dear future we promise to disrupt peace in the state hence you hearken to our request. 

As Nigeria students are meant for Industrial peace, harmony and tranquility we implore Mr. Governor to do the needful before it gets out of hand. 

We say no to aberration. The quality we are paying for must be given to us.

AOPE SUG stage peaceful protest against Platinum Consultant as Academic Activities Continue

The Students’ Union Government of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa under the Leadership of President, Comrade Ashaolu Victor Samuel held a peaceful protest against Platinum Consultant’s gross negligence and remita charges at the school gate today Monday March 1st, 2021. The protest happened to be unanimous decision of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Committee Oyo State Chapter as all Oyo State Owned Institutions took part in the protest from their various campus.

Information gathered reveal that NANS JCC have been holding a lot of meetings with the Government on the gross negligence of Platinum which have been proven abortive, however the most concerned to the Students of AOP Eruwa is Remita Charges of 500naira on any payment. According to the press release by the SUG yesterday February 28, 2021, the content of the Press Release has it that “Greatest Polytes, We want you to remember no matter any amount you are paying on the portal, you will be charged 500ngn remita charges no matter the number of time you are making payment.”

The Protest started at 6:30am which stopped all academic activities including Examination which ought to have started today. Comrade Ashaolu addressed the students towards the end of the peaceful protest and thanked them for the support and maintaining peace on the Protest. He said, “Greatest Nigerian Students, I love you all for joining this agitation, I want us to know this protest is not against the school management. We are just lending our voice to the state government on any form of extortion called 500naira Remita Charges which is unusual on any registration on the portal.”

In the SUG President conclusion, He urged them to go back home and read to prepare for their examination as the State Government have called all Union Leaders for a meeting on Wednesday March 3rd, 2021. After the protest, the SUG Members held a meeting with School Management at the Office of the Acting Rector Peter Adejumo on continuation of Academic Activities in the institution.
