ASCOM hold Manifesto, Students assured of Free, Fair Election

 


The Association of Student Communicators ASCOM President Comrade Salami Toyin from department of Mass Communication of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Eruwa has assured the students there will be peaceful, free and fair election after the Manifesto held today Thursday February 11th, 2021 for the election coming up tomorrow Friday 12th February 2021.

The manifesto exercise which lasted for 2hours started 10am was held at the New Lecture Theatre (NLT 1) happened to be the first on-stage Manifesto exercise this year in the institution and was conducted successfully. Ascom this year have 16 posts Aspirants are vying for in which only 1 post has 3 Candidates Aspiring for. In a chat with the ASCOM Financial Secretary, Comrade Salam Shukurat made it known to our correspondent that the unopposed Aspirants will also be voted for and are required of 70% of total valid votes cast.

Comrade Salami advised the students to come for the election exercise with their Ascom dues to the polling booth which is Mass Communication Department Library as voting will start from 10am to 12pm. In concluding the manifesto, he gave thanks to Head of Mass Communication Department Mallam Ismail Adediran for supporting them toward the Manifesto exercise.
