The Special Assistant to Oyo state governor on students' matters, Honourable Victor Olojede paid a courtesy visit to Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Eruwa on Tuesday 6th July, 2021.
In his visit address, he promised the total support of the state's government to the welfarism of students in the institution. He also highlighted certain issues that would be looked into in respect to the entire students populace of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Eruwa.
He urged the students to challenge the state's government with innovation and innovative ideas. In his words "the governor is always ready to partner with the students when it comes to innovation."
In his efforts to bring about an all inclusive administration, he said his office will partner with job recruiters and educational consultants that would train about 600 students in their penultimate year and final year students on career opportunities. Also, giving the notification of the Oyo State Students Sport Festival that would be organized soon.
He gave the assurance that "the Oyo state government is committed to the development of students body."
He therefore called on the school management to be supportive and maintain a cordial relationship with the Students' union body and for the Union to reciprocate so as to avoid any form of chaos.
Adding to that, he assured that the issue of some graduated students who have not yet been mobilized for the National Youth Service Corps would be resolved in due time.
While receiving the S.A to the governor on students' matters, the Acting Rector of the institution, Mr Peter Adejumo appreciated the kind gestures of Governor Seyi Makinde towards educational development in the state and pleaded for continuous support for the institution.
The Students' Union President, Comrade Musa Aanuoluwapo also applauded the initiative of the Special Adviser to the governor on Students' matters, Honourable Victor Olojede and beckoned on him to stay true to his promises towards Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Eruwa.
Taking a walk to the Students' Union secretariat which is not befitting, the S.A pledged renovation of the building and the construction of SUG relaxation center.
The visit which took place at the Central Administration Building had in attendance the Acting registrar, Bursar, Dean Students Affairs, Students Affairs Officer and other members of management.
